Coffee is one of the most consumed drinks in every corner of the world, the mixture of its flavors has made thousands of people enjoy these roasted beans in all types of dishes, drinks and even desserts.
Mexico is one of the countries where coffee is consumed the most, but also one of the main places where its plant is produced. Among the main areas where there are coffee growers willing to harvest and preserve this valuable fruit are Chiapas, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Puebla and Tabasco.

This is due to changing climatic conditions and the migration of workers, events that have put the coffee industry in serious trouble, as well as the decline in the pace of production.
CAFFENIO is a 100% Mexican company with almost 80 years of experience, which day after day assumes its social responsibility and carries out actions in favor of the communities where it operates, therefore, in 2011 it implemented the COSECHA Calidad y Bienestar program.
This initiative aims to activate a model of sustainable development of coffee farming in the areas of Huatusco, Veracruz and Pluma Hidalgo, Oaxaca; to work together with coffee growers to rescue their farms, achieving greater production in the area and a better quality of life for the community.
An example of how to draw the future of coffee
Through this program, the company dedicated to coffee production has managed to consolidate another component that is part of COSECHA , this is called Training the Coffee Growers of Tomorrow , which promotes the rescue of Mexican agricultural tradition and pride in the coffee cultivation in children and young people, through art, games and creation of school gardens.
To continue with this commitment, CAFFENIO recently opened the call called Drawing the Future of Coffee , a children's contest for participants from 6 to 12 years old that consisted of showing with their creativity the love they feel for the countryside and coffee planting.
The children and young people who decided to participate took the following questions as a reference:
What do you like most about where you live?
How do you see the place where you live in your future?
How do you see the future of coffee?
This call was opened on August 24 and concluded on September 21. During that time, hundreds of proposals containing the children's vision of the future of coffee were received.
